Dreads

Dread Philosophy
When a white person wear dreads, I would think "hippie".
It is nothing more than a fashion statement, to look cool.
When a black person wear dreads, I would think "history".
It is an embrace of a state that once was missing.

To wear dreads is to commit to the dread, to give yourself in to letting your hair grow, and intertwine.
To wear dreads is to open your being to another culture, to embrace what Rastafarians describe as the sense of wholesomeness.

Because it is not a trend, it's a state.
Otherwise your hair will have no meaning to stay in locks rather than the physics of it.
